Elkhart Open House Is Coming: Where Many of the Next RVs Debut
Broader Elkhart Open House activity runs Sept. 28–Oct. 2, with the dealer show listed Sept. 28–30. Most of it is industry-only — but Alliance RV says its Extravaganza display opens to the public Sept. 30–Oct. 2.

It is not a consumer RV show
The Elkhart RV Dealer Open House lists its dealer-only show for Sept. 28–30, inside a wider week of Elkhart activity running Sept. 28–Oct. 2. Unlike Hershey, the traditional Open House is built for dealers and the industry, not for the public, so do not plan a trip expecting general admission across the week.
One published exception: Alliance RV has announced its Elkhart Extravaganza display will be open to the public Sept. 30–Oct. 2, and says Midwest Automotive Designs Class B motorhomes will also be on display.
Why buyers should watch anyway
- A large share of next-year floor plans are shown to dealers here first.
- What dealers order in Elkhart is what sits on lots through the following year.
- Announcements made this week usually reach consumer shows weeks or months later.
What we'll do with it
We'll cover product that is genuinely new or meaningfully changed for camper van buyers, and we'll say plainly when something is a manufacturer claim rather than something we've tested.
